Macbook Air 13” Mid 2013 won’t switch on

I have updated my OS to the most updated version. However, I’ve been having problems with switching the Macbook on. I’ve tried hard reset (holding on the power button for a few seconds) & the normal press of the on button but both ways were unresponsive. The charging works fine.

Plus note, the Macbook will switch on after a few tries of pressing the on button but it would not load the apple logo, or sometimes, it would load a folder with a question mark on it. I’ve also tried using the Command + R buttons immediately after pressing the switch on button but nothing’s working.

What may be the cause of this problem & are there any solutions that I could do without taking out the parts/sending them for a repair at Apple?
