Stopping Apple Watch 'time to get home prompts'

Hi,

Is there any way to stop my Apple Watch (S3) running the latest WatchOS from prompting me that it will take me 'x' minutes to get home whenever it feels like it?

This is frustrating as I may want to look at my watch for another reason and have to cancel this prompt first before being able to do what I want to do.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that that you are receiving a notification telling you how long it will take for you to get home. At this time you do not wish to have this feature showing up as it does. What you are describing sounds like a feature of the Maps app. If you are not using Maps you can close the Maps app by pressing the side button and then swiping the app to the left and tapping the red X.

Thank you for your advice.

The map app isn’t even open on my watch (or my iPhone) yet I still get this prompt.

Are there any other possibilities?

I’ve been through settings for Watch and iPhone in respect of maps and notifications but nothing appears to apply to ‘Watch notifications’.
