does it connect unrelated clips ?
I want to know if Final Cut can connect unrelated clips since I want to edit out portions of the imovies I create then reconnect the clips.

That's all I really need. I simply create videos in QuickTime PLayer, then I import into iMovie for editing and adding audio.
However, as you know there are always opportunities to delete multiple areas to make the video shorter, but that creates multiple unrelated clips which cannot be connected, which I find a real pain in the neck.
Are you aware of any other applications that can do what I want to do . I am going to check out Wondershare , Do you have any other suggestions ?
Thanks !
You would have to edit out the sections and export a new file.
Isn't that the same thing I have to do in iMovie ?
Yes. Not sure what you expected, but there is no way to make a compressed video file without rebuilding it.
Thanks for that confirmation.
So why in the world would I want to pay for final cut when I can accomplish the asme thing withiMovie ?
Thanks for your insights. I appreciate you taking the time to help.
If that’s all you need to do you absolutely shouldn’t buy FCP.
Not sure how you think the pieces can be connected without creating a new file. Nothing can do this.
