Bluetooth disconnecting every few minutes

I have read a few threads on this problem but they are from 2014. Why am I still having this problem in 2018? I have an iPhone 7 running iOS 11.2.6 and a 2011 Acura MDX. This wasn't a problem until the past year. Do I really have to turn off wi-fi every time I get in the car?
