Can I trade my iPhone in a different country

I purchased my iPhone at the apple store in the Caribbean but i'll be travelling to Canada in a few months and I was wondering if I can exchange/trade my iPhone for a newer version there since the exchange service isn't available at the apple store in the Caribbean (the phone is still under 1 year warranty).
