My new iPad Pro 10.5 doesn't charge when it is hooked up with an USB extender cable. It charges without the USB extender cable.
The extender cable works with the 2012 iPad.
Any suggestions for fixing this problem?

I have issues with my ipad mini where it will not charge with one cable that I have but will work with another. It’s possible that the extender cable just doesn’t transfer enough power for the iPad.
Depending on your situation, another alternative to buying an expensive longer USB cable could be a simple household 6 foot extension cord that you plug the iPad’s power block into.
I have tried out two cables. Neither one works with the new iPad. I do have a long extension cord for the power block. I was just hoping I could use the USB cable for charging with more flexibility. I was also curious to know if other users had the same problem.
