can't access new shared photo album

My husband and I have shared photos in the cloud. He is on a trip and has saved photos to the shared space but I can't access them, why?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 11.2.6

Shared Albums and iCloud Access How do I get my shared photo albums to show up in my iCloud? NOTE: the shared album was created and filled while on my iPhone 8S. I've now converted to a 12 Pro. How do I share photo albums from iCloud Photo? I am in my iCloud Photo app, and don't see a way to share an album with other users, to allow them to access photos. I have tried settings, clicking on the album icon, etc., but no luck.
