Kernel Panic caused by External HDD, help mounting safely?

Greetings Apple Community! I&#x27;m hoping for some quick help regarding some recent kernel panics I&#x27;ve been experiencing. I&#x27;ve read blogs and logs and other posts here in the community but no one has address this specific question yet.Soa) I know where it&#x27;s coming from. Most kernel panic help online is showing people where to find the source. I think I&#x27;ve found it. It&#x27;s a peripheral device. A Seagate external Baracuda HDD to be exact. It worked flawlessly for about a month before these panics began. I&#x27;ve tried this drive in two separate HDD enclosures and in both, it causes a kernel panic. When taken out, the remaining peripherals do just fine and the computer is stable for hours, presumably forever.b) I desperately NEED the data on the kernel panic&#x27;d drive and then I&#x27;ll need to format it (I suppose)... Not a problem as a have back up drives BUT once the drive mounts, the kernel panic happens a mere 5-10 seconds after so there is NO TIME to to anything with the drive...c) In summary, I need help #1 Hello again!I did as suggested but it did not solve the issue. I stand by my original statement in that my iMac is in top condition working just fine in every way until I plug in the HDD. Once it mounts, it takes it about 5 seconds to kernel panic. I&#x27;ve tried plugging the drive in via two separate Thunderbolt 2 enclosures and each time it shuts down. The drive has worked wonderfully for a month until this past Sunday 😟I need help A) mounting the drive safely and stably &amp; then B) pulling off the data before reformatting it... I did read somewhere about third-party software often causing the panic. I&#x27;d not addressed it yet because I thought I found the culprit via "hardware." I didn&#x27;t realize it could still be third-party software. I will delete those APPS entirely, then reboot the computer, then plug in the drive and see.THANKS SO MUCH for the lighting quick help on this!
