I need to get a video from an older tape-based camera to my iMac. Suggestions?

Does the camera have a firewire port on it?

it has a mini DV port on the camera. There's a FW port on the iMac, but I'm not sure where to buy the cable (didn't find one on Amazon, surprisingly).
Try the manufacturer of the camera.
