I have some how ended up with two different Apple ID's, how or can I delect one?
No, you cannot delete Apple IDs.
You can just stop using one of the Apple IDs.
Note that all purchases, (except for music) are tied to the Apple ID that bought them, and cannot be transfered or merged with another Apple ID.
In the case of Apps, they will always require the Apple ID that bought / downloaded them originally to update.
