siri: I don't want it

I have a new iPod Touch (which is NOT listed in the Apple product types on this screen). When I turn it on, I get the Siri voice-activation system. I'm supposed to talk to the thing about what I want. BUT I DON'T WANT to talk to it. I don't want this thing to ever appear again. How do I get rid of it? Permanently.

YOu can’t get rid of it permanently, but you can disable it. Go into settings, restrictions. You will have to set a code, and remember that code because if you forget it you will have to wipe your device. From there you can turn Siri off.

Also under Siri and search you can disable her
