you could sell the AT&T iPhone and use that money to buy yourself an iPhone from US Cellular or see if you can trade it in if US Cellular offers a trade in program. Otherwise we aren't quite sure what you are asking, we are just users here not actually talking to anyone from Apple. If you have questions it would be best to ask your carrier what options you have at this rate, especially if you have had the phone for a while. Best of luck!!

If you bought it directly from Apple then you had 14 days to return it for a full refund. I believe AT&T’s return period is also 14 days from purchase. After that, you own it. You can sell it yourself and then buy a phone for US Cellular.

The iphone 7 uses a modem that is either GSM compatible (the AT&T or T-Mobile model) or CDMA compatible (the Verizon model). So you could also trade it with someone who has a Verizon iphone 7 and wants to use AT&T, if you can find such a person somehow.

The problem is not a carrier lock though. The iphone 7 sold for pre-configured for AT&T and T-Mobile has the Intel GSM -only modem. Only the Verizon model has the Qualcomm dual GSM/CDMA compatible modem. Since US Cellular is a CDMA based carrier, an AT&T or T-Mobile iPhone 7 cannot connect to US Cellular’s network.
