Question: Finder Window Jumping

Hi everyone – question:

Finder window, column view, navigated to sub-folders (let's say) 6 levels deep. Window is only big enough to see 3. Not a problem...

But when I add a document/item into the last-sub folder, even though my sub-folder 6 is still selected, and my document is added, my Finder window scrolls all the way to the left so I'm looking at the top folder again.

I scroll to the right, see all 5 levels of folders I have selected, and the currently selected 6th folder. And I'm having to do this every time I add a document. Obviously tedious and frustrating. 😊

Any thoughts?
