Messages dormant on Macbook Air. No updates since January.

Messages works fine on iPhone and iMac, but has not updated on Air since January. Setup appears identical. OS on both iMac and Air is 10.13.3

LMHudson,

Often times when Messages stops working on a machine, the best approach to take can be to log out of Messages on that device, and re-add it, as though you had never had it on. You will have to approve the device on your iPhone again, but it should resume working normally.

Be advised, you may lose your Messages history on your laptop.

Go to: Messages > Preferences > Accounts > Sign Out

Or try: Messages > Preferences > Accounts > Enable this account (uncheck, and re-check)
