Subtotals in Numbers

I'm doing my taxes and have a spreadsheet that includes columns for Transaction Type, Category, and Labels, and other data.

I would like Numbers to Subtotal the Amount column whenever one or more of the above three columns changes.

Similar to a multi-column sort, and the sub-total, in Excel.

Thanks in advanced for any suggestions. 🙂

how do I total multiple columns at the same time in Numbers? I have a Numbers spreadsheet for my personal accounting. Amount on 1 end and then multiple columns of expense categories. Instead of totaling each column 1 at a time, there has got to be a way to total all the columns at the same time, but NOT TO GET 1 TOTAL OF ALL THE COLUMNS, TO GET A TOTAL FOR EACH COLUMN. Sum Subtotals in Numbers spreadsheet I have a column of currency numbers for several categories. I want to sum each category in the single column (each of which becomes a subtotal), and then make a sum of all subtotals in the same column. Is there a way of doing this? In my screen shot attachment the numbers in purple fill cells are my subtotals. I want to get a total of these subtotals at the bottom of the column. Please be simple in any response. I'm not a savvy in spreadsheet terminology. Thanks

Create an automatic function in Numbers for Mac Hello the community ! After a search (without success...) for a solution I turn to you! For my accounting I have a table for each month with 5 columns QUAND–WHEN (date) / QUOI–WHAT / COMBIEN–HOW MUCH (€) / COMMENT–HOW (drop down menu) / FRAIS–EXPENSES (drop down menu) and I would like to make an annex table to account for expenses. (see attached image). Something that would tell Numbers to go into Sheet 1 "Accounting" -> in the table "JUIN" -> all the rows marked with "Bouche (frais)" (blue) in the 5th column -> and total the values in € of the 3rd box of all these rows? I'm not sure if I'm clear, I'm quite a beginning on Apple Numbers. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out ! Guillaume
