running osx 10.8.5 ,tried upgrading iphoto '09 (8.1.2) to '10 using ilife 11. said it installed but lost all access to iphoto now

I am running osx 10.8.5, I tried updating iphoto 8.1.2 ('09) using ilife 11 disc. after installing cant access iphoto at all. Help!

iPhoto '08, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

The iLife '11 installer DVD will install a very early version of iPhoto '11. Before you can use it, try to update this early version to iPhoto 9.4.3 using the updaters from Apple's download page.
