Macbook Air won’t turn on

Hi! My 11” Macbook Air will not turn on. I closed it last night and it was fine but when i finally opened it back up today, it wont turn on. I press and hold the power button and it makes the reset noise and lights up the screen (still dark though) and i’ve tried everything to get it fixed. It’s relatively new and i just updated to the newest sierra update last night (the night that it happened) if that has anything to do with it. Please help I’m a student and quite literally need this laptop.

MacBook Air wont turn on I am having this repeated problem with my MacBook where it just won’t turn on after I’ve used it or whilst I’m using and it is inactive for a few minutes. Despite my laptop being fully charged it will not turn on. I have long pressed the power button, tried holding the Control, Command and power button but nothing seems to work. Sometimes I will have to have my laptop connected to a powder source for 30 minutes unplug it and then turn it on. So last night I left it on charge all night and this morning the black screen is still showing
