Beats Headphones Do Not Properly Connect to MacBook Pro

I recently purchased a pair of Beats Solo3 Headphones, and they have been working perfectly fine since I bought them a week ago. The day I bought them, when I attempted to connect them to my Macbook, I had to reset the bluetooth on my laptop, but this was it. Now suddenly today, when I tried to connect the headphones to my laptop, they will connect, and then disconnect approximately ten seconds later. In this timeframe, the sound doesnt even attempt to play through the headphones, it plays still through the laptop. If i open the sound preferences on my computer, and select the headphones as the output source, the speaker on the status bar seems to be trying to load something (it looks similar to when the laptop is connecting to wifi or looking for a new wifi network).

I feel as though I have tried everything. I reset the bluetooth module on my laptop, I tried resetting my headphones, I shut my phone's bluetooth off, and my watch's in case it was getting in the way, I soft and hard reset my laptop, and the issue still persists; however, when I link them to my phone, they work perfectly fine, so I feel this must be an issue with my laptop. Am I missing something? Is there anything else I can do, short of going to the Genius bar (because this is something I do not want to have to do, especially for an issue that has arisen out of truly nowhere)? I am running macOS 10.13.4
