No names only contact numiners what should I do

Missing contact names I suddenly lost some names from my contacts but the numbers are still showing. Other contacts went back to the old names. I have tried many solutions from the internet but nothing is working. Kindly help me! NB: I was getting a message that my mail info needs updating so I went and used the new password for it “ I just signed in” Idk if this has something to do with my problem Thanks

Did you recently signed out of iCloud? Are you back with your Apple ID on your iPhone now? Probably you have to just make sure Contacts is toggled on in Settings app > Your Apple ID name > iCloud.
