Question: Problem Setting up Family Member

I'm trying to re-purpose an old iPad mini for use by my Granddaughter, who is currently 18 months old.


I followed the advice on the Apple website as to the best way to do this - i.e:- Use an adult account to set up family membership, create an ID for her, then set her up as a family member under my iCloud account.


I created an iCloud ID for her, and the process then sent an email to her ID to authenticate (I remember seeing an earlier message saying that all authentication stuff would be sent to my ID). But, that email needed to come to me, and it hasn't. And of course if it went to her ID email, it won't be received because I've not yet set her up with email access.


I'm lost - don't know what to do next.


Any ideas ?
