Thank you Apple, for breaking Numbers at Tax Time

I have exported the file to '09 so I can work on it. It is impossible to work on when I open it default, and there is no update in the App Store. Apple, this is typical about how very little you care about your users. And to all of you Apple professionals who will provide condescending answers: the program should work when the user opens it. Sorry, you are justifying something that is broken.

Hi snowball,

No condescension from anyone here, but please reply to Viking's questions:

What specific numerical version of Pages did this problem occur, and on what specific numerical release of the operating system?

You wrote:

Why?

It is impossible to work on when I open it default

Are you trying to open a Numbers 3 or Numbers 4 document with Numbers '09? That won't happen.

there is no update in the App Store.

Update of what?

Please see this User tip

Need newer version of Numbers to open file

Please call back with questions.

Regards,

Ian.

By now, you should understand that this is a user-to-user support community of international, volunteer, fellow Apple users. Apple product teams neither read, nor respond to posts here. There are Apple-badged staff that moderate, and support these communities, but have nothing to do with Apple product development.

What does impossible to work on when I open it default mean? What specific numerical version of Pages did this problem occur, and on what specific numerical release of the operating system?
