Keychain won't accept admin password

I'm trying to reveal my wifi password using keychain. Two prompts pop up when I click the show password box. The first requests my username and password which I fill in and it accepts. The second asks for admin username and password. When I type it in it is rejected despite being the same account. Other applications are accepting the admin password and username. I've tried resetting the admin password to no avail. The keychain firstaid hasn't identified any problems. What is the problem?

Cannot change keychain password I am trying to separate my keychain access password from my login password. I tried the security set-keychain pw cmd in terminal and the following error appeared: security: error changing password for "<NULL>": A default keychain could not be found. Not sure how to proceed as google hasn't found me a solution yet.

Why won't Keychain show me passwords I search for? I don't know what's going on with my Keychain. I had to access my Apple ID to sign in, opened the Keychain, put Apple ID in the search window, and nothing whatsoever showed up! And when I search for just Apple, I get hundreds of results, but even if I try to look through them all, I can't find it! What happened? This wasn't acting like this until very recently, probably since the latest OS update (11.6). I guess this is yet another bug from an update released before it's time.... smh
