No sounds on calls and text notifications on iPhone X iOS 11.2.6

iPhone X 64gb, iOS 11.2.6

No sounds on messages, calls ...only vibrations.

Ringer volume alright, notification settings checked and normal, no do not disturb, and no watch. Rest sounds normal in videos etc... also receiving calls

Tried resetting all settings and turned the phone off and on.

updated my 7+ to iOS 12.1 phone no longer rings for calls I recently updated my iPhone 7+ to iOS 12.1. My phone no longer rings for calls or text messages. I only vibrates and turns on the screen. Otherwise it handles the calls if I "feel" or "see" it and then answer respond.I have tried resetting the sound for both the ring and text but it still doesn't work.I also tried turning the phone totally off and then back on.The sound I was using for regular answer is no longer found in the options for sounds. It was "Sherwood Forest".I don't know if that has anything to do with this but that was not the same sound I was using for text messaging which doesn't make a sound now either.

not getting sound on my iphone The sound is not working properly on my iphone. When a call come in, the ringer sounds, but no ringer on texts or any other notifications. The sound also works when I use my speakers for music. I have tried the troubleshooting online but not having success.

Have you checked the ring/silent switch on the top left side of the phone?
