For years, my son and I have shared an apple ID--mainly because I had an android and didn't use it at all. We both now have new independent apple IDs, and when I log in to the previously shared one--I have access to all of his photos, but not mine. Long story short, I want to delete the shared apple ID and use only our new independent ones. How do I do that?
Are you logging into the 2 new IDs or the old one when you see the photos? If the old one, that is the expected behavior, and is one reason why sharing an Apple ID isn't recommended. If the two new IDs and you are still using the same devices, the photos are likely left over from when you shared an ID.

Just use your new ones, that's why you created them isn't it?
I log in to it and see my son's photos. Not cool. Even worse--when he logs in, I don't want him to see my photos.
