My iPhone X screen wont turn off
Whenever there is a notification or I charge my phone, the screen will not turn off unless I actually press the sleep button.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! It's important to be able to have your iPhone display turn off when it's not in use. I'll be happy to provide some insight about this.
You may need to adjust your Auto-Lock preferences. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock and change the setting here from "Never".
If that doesn't help, let us know which iOS version you're on.
