Did you update iTunes to the most recent version? If not, update iTunes and open iTunes with the iPhone connected. This will force iTunes to make the iPhone prompt you to confirm to trust it.


If that does not work, third-party security software may be interfering (recent firewall updates for example), see Alex's post in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8303154

What is the problem? Can't you get past the prompt to unlock your iPhone?

Does the iPhone appear in the sidebar in the Photos.app? Or does the Mac do not see the iPhone?

We need some details - the system versions on your iPhone and Mac.
