iPhone 7 voice mail won't "play" the message although i get the transcription
iPhone 7+ won't "play " voice mail received message, although it does usually print transcription of the message received.

I see that you're unable to play voicemails that have been left by callers on your iPhone 7 Plus. Even though you're usually provided a transcript, you should be able to listen to them as well and I'm happy to help.
Set up Visual Voicemail on your iPhone

If you can't set up Visual Voicemail, contact your carrier to make sure that your plan supports the feature.
If you need help, try these steps. Check your Visual Voicemail after each step:
- Try to call someone to check your cellular network connection.
- Make sure that you set up your voicemail. To check, dial your phone number from your iPhone.
- Call your iPhone from another phone and try to leave yourself a voicemail.
- Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.
Before you Reset Network Settings, be sure to write down your Wi-Fi networks/passwords before you do.
