My iPad Air 2 suddenly shuts off and won't turn on again. I've tried charging it but it did not work either. I also can't turn it on manually because the lock button is broken. Any suggestions of what I can do?

If your iPad is damaged to the point you have no controls to turn it on or hard reset it, then it is time to bring it into your “local” Apple store for possible replacement.
Apple does not repair iPads. They replace!
So, an “out of warranty” replacement, refurbished iPad of the same model you currently own for 60% of your iPad Mini 2 original cost.
