Question: Sim not supported

I’m giving my old phone to my mum so she had just bought a SIM card. When I insert this into my old phone it comes up with a message saying sim not supported and I don’t know what I have to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

Your old iPhone appears to be locked to a cell / mobile carrier that is different to the one the sim card your mum will be using is for.

You would need to contact the cell / mobile carrier you were using with the old iPhone and request that they unlock the iPhone for use with other carriers.
