Do you have to pay monthly for Apple Watch cellular?

do you have to pay $10 per month to use your apple watch? like to make phone calls and send messages? i have an iphone with service, would i have to pay $10?

No, you do not have to pay a monthly charge to use your watch.

As long as you have your paired iPhone with you, you can answer and make calls from your watch, send messages, etc., without paying the $10 monthly fee.

You only have to pay if you want to use your watch as a phone, independently of your iPhone.

You may need to pay extra if you have the Apple Watch 3+LTE -AND- you want to use the cellular features while away from your iPhone. You should not need to pay extra to use the GPS-only version, or LTE version while paired and connected through your phone and/or WiFi.

Some carriers charge $10 monthly for Apple Watch > appple watch phone charges
