Internal Messages error

I'm getting the error"An internal Messages error occurred.

There was a problem with Messages. You need to quit and open Messages again." whenever I try opening messages.

I've tried removing the .plists and removing the IDS item for the Apple ID in the Keychain to no avail.

Hi,

Can you tell me the names of the .plists you have removed ?

It is possible you have not removed all of them or rather the ones that are the most critical.
