Google Adware Popup Adware on ipad

How do I remove the Google adware popup on my new ipad that says I have won an Amazon gift card?

1. Force close Safari application. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201330

2. Settings > Safari > Search

Turn off Search Engine Suggestions,

Safari Suggestions,

Quick Website Search

and

Preload Top Hit.

3. Restart the iPad/iPhone. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559

4. Highlight and delete the entry in the Safari’s search bar.

Press spacebar key on the keyboard twice.

Enter the URL for the site manually and then “Go”.

Test for a while.

Thank you for the suggestion; however, i was not using Safari on my ipad. Was using Google Chrome. I removed Google Chrome from my ipad. I opened Safari and am not getting errors now. Do you think if I reinstall Chrome on my ipad I will still have the problem?

Hopefully a new copy of Chrome may not have the same issue.

No harm in trying.
