Question: ssh doesn't work

The error I got is

ssh: connect to host port 22

I tried to ssh to my school server, and I am using school network. I tried to modify the ssh.plit file and sshd_config. Both doesn't work. I have remote login accessed, and no firewall open. what could I do?

The issue happened when the laptop restarted after it was frozen, and I was connecting the university server before.

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)

ssh -v -v -v username@address

Now go through the ssh debugging output line by line. But the most useful debugging information will be near the end, so pay close attention to that, as something is likely to tell you why it could not connect.
