Restoring Ipad(forgotten password) without getting upgraded

Hello,

I have an iPad Pro and I forgot its password.I tried to restore it but it requires upgrading it.Is there a way to restore it without upgrading it?(I forgot the password)

i.e.:I don't care about my data, etc, and I also tried "If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support" and I have only two options : "cancel" or "restore and upgrade"

iOS 11

Hi, Arian!

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, you have an iPad Pro but have forgotten the passcode to unlock it. You'd like to know what your options are to regain access, specifically if you can do it without upgrading the iOS software. I'm happy to provide you with some information!

If you have forgotten your passcode, If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support is the correct place for you to be. You'll use the steps under the "Erase your device with iTunes to remove your passcode" section. This takes you through restoring your iPhone to remove the passcode, and regardless of the options offered, restoring will always update your device to the latest compatible iOS version. If you see "Update and Restore" as the only option aside from Cancel, then that is the option you would choose.

Cheers!
