how can I permanently delete books and puzzles off my ipad?

How can I delete books and puzzles off my iPad? I am almost out of memory and don't want many of these books or puzzles. Do I have to delete a whole app?

iPad Wi-Fi, iOS 10.3.3, only have 1.75 GB of memory left
