The first 8 songs from playlist burned to a blank CD-R, only 6 seconds of each of the last six songs were burned to the same CD-R. Any ideas on why 8 songs would burn, but only 6 seconds of the remaining songs?

There was a general issue burning CDs with iTunes 12.7.2.x for Windows at anything over 2x speed.

iTunes 12.7.3.46 for Windows appears to burn CDs normally at full speed and with mixed formats.

It can be downloaded from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. Some regional sites may supply an older version.

When burning or printing use the right-click context menu on the playlist in the sidebar. File > Burn Playlist to Disc still seems to be unreliable and may attempt to burn the wrong list.

Other reports suggest that 12.7.3.46 doesn't handle CD Text correctly or is unable to burn a full 80 min CD. You might want to go back to 12.7.1.14 for now if either of those cause a problem for you. See the iTunes installers section of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for download links, direct from Apple, and instructions on removing the current build before you reinstall. In this instance you don't need to restore an older version of the database.

I'm currently using version 12.7.3.46. I was using the File > Burn Playlist to Disc and it did in fact burn the incorrect playlist, (twice). But I did burn the correct playlist about 5 times and every time the same thing happened. It burned the first 8 songs in their entirely, then burned the first 6 seconds of each of the remaining 6 songs. i may have to go back to 12.7.1.14 for now.

Thank you for responding.

Just tried burning the playlist again, but this time I moved the last 6 songs that wouldn't burn to the top of the list so they are now the first songs and guess what, this time it burned 6 seconds of each of the FIRST 6 songs, and all of the others in their entirety. So the issue appears the be these 6 specific songs, since they wouldn't burn as the first 6 songs or the last 6 songs. These 6 songs that I'm having a problem with are from a different C/D, different band then all the other songs. I wonder if the C/D is copy protected??? I was able to copy it to Itunes, maybe you just can't burn it.

I just looked at the song info on the 6 songs that will only burn the first 6 seconds of each and the all reflect Kind: MPEG-4 Video File and Encoded with: Nero AAC Codec 3.2.0.18

Maybe MPEG-4 Video File is the problem, since all the other songs show Kind: AAC Audio File or MPEG Audio File. but all the songs play in their entirety on ITunes.
