My son’s iPhone 7 is using tons of data. We were told it switches to data by itself in WiFi if the data signal is better. Can we stop this without turning off the cellular data?
How do we stop using so much data?

Go to settings>cellular and scroll to the bottom. There you can turn off wifi assist. Also toggle off "cellular data" for apps that you only want to use wifi.
