Hi All. Can someone advise me on what to buy to replace my CD drive and add an additional ssd drive in its place?
I have a late 2011 MBP 17" that works sooo great.

Any SSD that has a SATA-III 6.0Gbps spec and 2.5" form factor will work. Visit OWC to see their DataDoubler product to provide the mounting needed for your plan. They also have tools and SSDs for the job along with video tutorials.
There are a variety of different products that should work. Happy mentioned the DataDoubler from OWC. There are a variety of different products designed to allow a 2.5" SATA drive to fit in a slimline optical drive bay.
