iCloud System Preferences will not accept my password.

I have changed the password twice. It accepts it everywhere but first said it wouldn't accept my Apple ID Email. My Hotmail account was compromised a while back. I changed the password to it. It will not accept. I deleted the account from being synced.

I am needing to cull iCloud storage and System Preferences won't accept the NEW password. It doesn't tell me it's invalid. I entered an invalid password on purpose and it tells me it is invalid but when I put in the correct password, it accepts it but still nothing is activated for me to manage my storage.
