Custom lyrics not syncing to device?

I have created custom lyrics for a couple of albums on my mac, but after syncing with my device, the custom lyrics only show up in one of the albums. I have tried various ways like resyncing the music but to no avail. Any clue as to what is happening and how I can fix this?
