new iphone X keeps asking for old apple id password

After I set up my new iphone X, i kept getting asked for the password for an old apple id in addition to the current one. I skpped over this part and eventually got the phone set up. Then I noticed that many of the songs in my music library won't download. It says its becuase the songs were purchased with the old id. Now many of my apps won't load either becuase of the same reason. The problem is that old id has been unused for over 10 years. I don't remember the password and can't reset it because the Email server no longer exists. I tried to reset the password using security questions but I couldn't answer the question. (It was, "name of your two daughters?" I have boys, no girls.) How do I get the phone to forget the old apple id?

iPhone 6, iOS 10.3.3

Email server not existing doesn't matter, log int using the old ID and change the email address.

Change your Apple ID - https://support.apple.com/HT202667 - "Follow these steps to change the email address that you use as your Apple ID."

What to do after [or before] you change your Apple ID email address or password - https://support.apple.com/HT204071 - "After you change your Apple ID email address or password, you might need to update your sign-in information with any Apple services you're using." E.g., if you are getting persistent sign-in messages.

If you forgot your Apple ID password - https://support.apple.com/HT201487

The only way to get it to forget the old ID is to delete everything purchased with it and re-purchase it under the new ID. Unless you do that you will forever have to manage with 2 IDs which is not very fun.
