I've got a iPad4 I tried to do a update did not work so I done a all rest on the iPad then it just went off the appel sign came on for about 40minites then it just turned off I've put it on charge its been about 3 hours but still not coming on
Even though the iPad appears dead, try a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.
Could be a failing or failed battery.
Time to take your iPad into your "local” Apple Store for a free diagnosis and to see what Apple offers for options.
If it turns out to be the battery, a battery replacement costs $99 for an iPad.
