itunes remote app rating songs

Hi All. I've been using Apple's Remote App for years to control my library playing on my Mac through a Hi-Fi. Just after Christmas, I suddenly can no longer see the song ratings by tapping on the artwork on the phone in the Remote App. Is anyone else having this problem?

When using Home Sharing the library view is loaded but I cannot start playing any song and if starting it in the Mac nothing appears in the "Now playing" tab.
