Why do the jpeg files differ in size?
Some jpeg files are 3.5 MB and others 5.9 MB. Why is that? All were shot horizontally.

Jpegs are compressed image files, and the amount of compression and therefor image size will depend upon what's in the image - an image containing, for example, a lot of blue sky (so a fair amount of the image is a uniform colour) can be compressed a lot more than an image of, for example, a crowd of people in fairly poor lighting
