Safari failing to load links in web pages

In recent months Safari has become increasingly unreliable. The main problem being errors when clicking on a link within a page. Whilst logged in to HMRC to check on my tax code there was no such link on my portal. Tried using Chrome, no problem at all. Link was there and my task completed satisfactorily. Logged in to Audi UK to complete finance transaction form and buttons would not register so I aborted task. Tried again using Chrome, no problem task completed satisfactorily. Tesco Direct tried to order items and get error message (see screen dump). Used Chrome and task completed without issue. I prefer all of my applications to be kept in the Apple house but unless this problem is sorted my default browser will need to be changed which is a shame. This happens on all 3 of my macs.

Try Safari Technology Preview as a test.

This is another self standing beta version of Safari.


To install Extensions:

Download extensions by entering the extension name in the search bar.

Download it.

Finder > Downloads

Right click on the filename.

Open with > Safari Technology Preview.


To uninstall STP:

Finder > Applications > Safari Technology Preview

Right click STP and choose “Move to Trash”.
