Podcast Artwork not Showing up in playing Bar

Hey Guys,

I have had a weird situation that has been going on for a while. I have search the net but nothing seems to fit my problem.

I have a bunch of Podcast on iTunes.

In the main iTunes Library Screen it displays the artwork for the podcast. But in the Playing bar at the top it is empty. When I go to mini player the artwork is also missing.

I have Deleted the XML file a few times and rebuild my iTunes but it still is happening. I tried deleting the podcast and re-adding it, and it works for a day and then reverts back to the missing artwork on the mini player and now playing bar.

How can I fix this issue? I have inserted a pic so you can see what is happening.

To ensure that the artwork always shows it must be embedded in every episode, which not every podcast provided does. I have several smart playlists in a folder that pick up what I consider problems in my library such as this, and a script that can embed a Folder.jpg image stored in the same folder as the file in question. I run maintenance periodically on my library to clean up all of the inconsistencies that I test for.

Normally I would agree, but for some reason when I delete and re add the podcast, it will show up on that particular episode, but when I go back to re-listen to the episode, say a few hours later it is gone.

Gave that a shot, didn't work. Weird thing. Got a new episode of one of my podcast. Did a get info and the artwork was not loaded. However, after I listen to it, delete it and check the same episode in the feed, the artwork is then present.

iTunes can associate images with content under some circumstances that isn't embedded in the media file. When it is playing a locally stored track it should show the image from that track, should there be one.

ok, I copied the artwork for two of the podcasts that were causing issues, I will see how that works. I also re-installed iTunes. couldn't uninstall it as it is part of mac os, see if that does anything.

If you select the episode and Get Info what do you see on the artwork tab? Assuming it is empty try pasting in the relevant image to see if it sticks.

The Artwork is there if I choose podcast info but when I go to play it, it doesn't show up in the now playing box.

Since the artwork was present it didn't try copying it.

At the top left or on the main artwork tab? Either way you could try copying and then pasting back into the episode to make sure it is embedded properly.
