some phone numbers won't come up as a contact in my blue tooth car?

I've never had a problem with my car telling me who is calling, but recently since my phone up dated ,my car will some times show only a number but the number has been saved to my phone book, i have even changed names in my phone book and it won't swap it over in the car but shows up in my phone book??for example "i have to say call del but on my phone book its says derek? and any newly saved numbers will not show a name just a number?? i have re sync my phone and car, gone threw bluetooth setting and synced contacts to my car, and also my mum is having this problem in her car, i am in her fav on the phone book and always have been but now I'm just a number she's even had her car dealer on to it but with no luck please help

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.2.6

Im having the same issue

On my car display via Bluetooth

It only happens when I receive a incoming call the number is displayed but not the name. The name is displayed on my iPhone when I receive the call but not on my car display

I have spent hours trying to fix this but nothing.

Works.

It does works ok via carplay

But not Bluetooth

Is this due to an iOS update?

My ios version is 11.2.6

Sounds like you need to get your car stereo firmware updated. Reach out to your dealer, manufacturer, or check your car’s user manual to find out if one is available and how to install it if there is.

It is up to your car/stereo manufacturer to make sure their system is compatible with iOS/CarPlay features, not the other way around.

Thank you for responding

I contacted Hondalink & they said that there is nothing that they can do that the issue is due to Apple IOS update. That I would have to wait for Apple to update their IOS version to fix the issue.

It only occurs when it’s connected via Bluetooth

It works okay via CarPlay.
