How to mute High Sierra power chime

I keep my MacBook Pro with High Sierra plugged-in all of the time. It plays the power chime periodically, seemingly when the power reaches 100%. This drives me crazy. I want to turn the power chime sound off, but can't find a setting. Before upgrading, I used the following command in Sierra to disable it, but this command doesn't work on High Sierra: defaults write com.apple.PowerChime ChimeOnAllHardware -bool false;killall PowerChime

Is there some way to turn off the power chime in High Sierra? It would be nice to control this in Notifications like other sounds.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

I bought a replacement power cord for my 2016 Macbook and after a week, it kept setting off that chime, first at 100% and then every few minutes. I found this on another forum five minutes ago and it worked. I have very little computer programming knowledge, but I was able to paste it into Terminal, plugged the cord back in and no chime.

defaults write com.apple.PowerChime ChimeOnNoHardware -bool true
killall PowerChime

I tried to reset the SMC, but it continued to chime. I did find a solution related to the dongles I was using:

I have 2 dongles purchased from monoprice.com connected to my MacBook Pro's Thunderbold 3 USB-C ports.

Dongle 1 is part number 15249: Select Series USB-C to 4x USB-A 3.0 & USB-C (F) Adapter. It has 4 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C port.

Dongle 2 is part number 15243: Select Series USB-C to DVI & USB-C (F) Dual Port Adapter. It has 1 DVI port and 1 USB-C port.

When I connect the power cord to Dongle 1's USB-C port, it charges the MacBook Pro, but I hear the power chime every 1 minute and 55 seconds. At the same time as the power chime sounds, a 100% power indicator pops up on the display.

When I connect the power cord to Dongle 2's USB-C port, it charges the MacBook Pro and I only hear the power chime once when it reaches 100%. Never afterwards.

So there must be something wrong with Dongle 1. Not sure if mine is defective or if it is defective by design.

So I have a solution: always plug my power cord into Dongle 2.

Thank you for the replies and trying to help.
