I Cloud Backup Confusion.
Product name: iCloud
Mac mini: Mac OS 10.13.3
iPad Pro: iOS 11.2.6
iPhone 8 Plus: iOS 11.2.6
I backed up both my iPhone and iPad successfully this morning to iCloud via WiFi. When I attached both devices to my Mac Mini, it shows that I've never backed up either device to iCloud, nor will it allow me to do so for the 'first' time.
As I can use Wi Fi, should I just ignore the Mac mini message and move on, or should I try to fixmwhatever is broken? If the latter, can someone please provide the step-by-step process, please?
This may also be related. My iPad has never been able to sync with my Mac mini via WiFi. I still have the screen with the message "To enable WiFi syncing with iTunes, connect to iTunes on your computer using a cable and click ""Sync with this iPad over WiFi""". If not related, I need to resolve this issue as well. I've restored the iPad twice in the hope that resetting and starting over would allow me to set this up correctly, to no avail.
Frankly, I started out with an Apple IIe in 1984 and have never had the number of glitches I have experienced in the past 6 months. I don't know what's changed recently, but I've not ever spent this much time troubleshooting. Makes me feel like I'm back on a PC!
