Workspace doesn't save all info?

I have been using FCPX since it started and was happy when I could finally save my desired workspace layout, but for some reason, my settings are NEVER saved on the clip browser side.. Every time I launch FCPX it shows my clips as large/long filmstrip thumbnails, even if I make the thumbnails small and singe frames (not filmstrips). Even after updating my workspace these setting never stay, as well as the layout in general. I always have to reselect my workspace, then fix my clip browser every time I launch FCPX..

Any suggestions?
